Zenion technology was first fielded on the International Space Station
Dedication to Water Security
Zenion Laboratories provides a distributed, intelligent water-purification platform that delivers planetary-scale clean, safe drinking, agricultural, industrial, and wildland water.
Zenion founder, inventor, and nanotechnologist Chris Cooper has spent 24 years and $97M developing advanced purification technology. In 2005, he was awarded a NASA Phase I SBIR contract for water-purification, followed by the Phase II SBIR award to field his technology on the International Space Station. Since then, he has achieved the cost reduction required for full-scale commercialization. In 2023, Mr. Cooper founded Zenion Laboratories Inc., whose products deliver a revolutionary water-purification solution that deactivates viruses, bacteria, and molds at sewage-level concentration; eliminates weaponized biologics; catalytically breaks down VOCs; and captures radiological agents. No other purification media is capable of chemical capture and self-cleaning with a ‘wash-rinse-repeat’ closed-loop cycle, thereby creating a renewable water resource: the Zenion media can, even at commercially relevant flow rates. Additionally, these capabilities are delivered at 116 times lower price points than inferior, competitive technologies. With a team experienced in research, product pipeline development, and advanced manufacturing, Zenion Laboratories is ready for further product development, capitalization, global manufacturing ramp-up, go-to-market expansion, and technology licensing.
Under the direction of Christopher H. Cooper, our enterprise-wide goals are to:
• Ensure global water security
• Revolutionize water purification with proprietary technology innovations
• Lower the cost, and increase the quality, of water to all of humanity
• Deliver global water quality data
• Produce NIST certified products, support technology, and services that mitigate the harm caused by toxic water
The Zenion Water-Purification Revolution
Full closed-loop wastewater recovery enables a world without water waste.
